About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

This month we'll be hearing from Olivia Liston-Smith, Senior Account Manager at marketing agency Radish.

Safe, serious, and snoozy. That's most B2B marketing in a nutshell. But selling to other businesses doesn't have to be boring!

In this session Olivia will be helping us learn how to banish the blah in B2B, instead crafting comms that cut through and connect.

Come join us for practical ways to inject creativity into even the driest of briefs, ideas for how to reassure and persuade nervous stakeholders, and real-world inspiration to help you look at your 'boring' brand with fresh eyes.

How our gatherings usually go

🍻 6pm: Doors open for (free) drinks, marketing chit-chat, and - let's face it - probably at least some small talk about the weather

🧑‍🏫 6.15-7.15pm: A brilliant marketing talk from a knowledgeable and interesting human, plus some Q&A and informal group discussion

🤓 7.15-7.30pm: It’s GUS time (that’s Genuinely Useful Shit)

🍻 7.30-8pm: More (still free) drinks and fun chat, hopefully about more interesting stuff than the weather by this point

Here you’ll find everyone from marketing managers and comms execs to freelancers, solo business owners, and students exploring the industry. If you’re interested in marketing, you’re welcome around the campfire.

Organised by

We're an Oxford-based community of marketing people who like to chat and share ideas, gripes, and experiences over a beer (or a cocktail in a can if we're feeling fancy).

Our monthly meet-ups are chock-full of practical content that will make your job feel less overwhelming and help your marketing efforts actually pay off (plus they're blissfully free of wanky business jargon and earnest networkyness. Bonus.)
