From Natural Gas to Hydrogen & Biomethane: System Readiness for Net Zero. Preparing Britain’s gas networks through flexible system design”

Orlando Minervino, Decarbonisation Strategy Manger, Michael Payley, Business Architect and Matthew Smith , Decarbonisation Analyst at Xoserve

This I-SEE webinar will begin with an overview of the current market and policy landscape shaping the decarbonisation of Britain’s gas system, before zooming into Xoserve’s Managing Different Gases programme. As the Central Data Service Provider, Xoserve is working with industry to understand how the introduction of biomethane, hydrogen blends, and ultimately 100% hydrogen will impact billing, settlement, and system design. The programme highlights how gas industry systems must be flexible and adaptable to accommodate a changing energy mix. We will share insights on how the Xoserve Decarbonisation Team is preparing for this transition, enabling the industry to move towards Net Zero with resilience, fairness, and efficiency.
