Discover how garden plants were brought to the UK from across the world to be displayed as ornamentals, and how their escape from gardens in the modern day can be detrimental to nature.
Learn about the Garden Escapers project, and explore ways we can work together to protect our environment.
This in-person talk will be followed by a brief tour of our accompanying exhibition: Beyond the Boundary: A Case of Garden Escapers for those interested. The talk will be in English, though the exhibition itself is in both English and Welsh. Staff will be available to answer any questions you have relating to the exhibition on the day.
We may take images of the event. If you would not like to have your photograph taken, please let a member of staff know on the day and we will happily make accommodations.
Part of Invasive Species Week. The Garden Escapers project at North Wales Wildlife Trust is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It's being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government.
