Managing this mine waste in safe, responsible, and socially acceptable ways is becoming an increasing challenge for industry and nations reliant on both the production and consumption of metals and minerals. Remote sensing has potential to aid decision making for mine waste management. Join us to explore how various surface level imaging and material characterisation techniques can support hyperspectral validation, the challenges of integrating multi-source and multi-scale datasets, and how we can urn these data into actionable insights for mine waste rehabilitation and management.
