Description

One of the most significant challenges for creative and digital agencies is money - how to charge, what to charge, what to charge for and even when to charge. And with clients being so hard fought, and competition so great, firm conversations around money are often avoided in order to ’not rock the boat’. The payoff (pun intended!) being that agencies just do not make anything like the money they should - and that impacts directly on the owners but in reality it impacts on everyone in the agency both in terms of their working days, weeks and months as well as the money available for salary increases, personal development, recruitment and business growth.


In this workshop you’ll be taken through the the principles and process of pricing as well best practice and tips around financial, project, resource and client management in order to build a more financially robust and successful business.


The session will be run as part of the Leeds Digital Festival by David Crawford from The Digital Strategy Unit and Stuart Ramsay from Accountancy Extra. David has over 25 years of agency experience - having held senior roles at Made by Pi (when it was Pilot Interactive), twentysix, McCann, BJL and most recently at Branded3 where he was Managing Director. Stuart has an in-depth knowledge of the numbers that drive an agency's profits and growth, built up over 10 years whilst looking after the finance function for a large number of agencies throughout the UK, through his business, Accountancy Extra.
