From Prioritisation to Action - Protecting Mesoamerica's endemic trees

Through the Global Tree Assessment, there are now comprehensive assessments for the trees of Mesoamerica. A recently published study, “Comprehensive tree assessments for prioritising conservation action in Mesoamerica”, found that almost half of trees endemic to Mesoamerica are threatened with extinction. In this webinar, we present the results of the Red List of endemic trees of Mesoamerica, as well as on-going work to prevent tree extinctions in the region, through planning, conservation action on the ground and networking.
