From Quarry to Chapter House - Exclusive tour of Haughmond abbey

The extensive remains of an Augustinian abbey, including its abbots’ quarters, refectory and cloister. The substantially surviving chapter house has a frontage richly bedecked with 12th- and 14th-century carving and statuary, and a fine timber roof of around 1500.

As part of the 2025 Heritage Open Doors Festival, English Heritage are offering free exclusive guided tours with our Medieval Stonemason. Tours are available at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm on 17 September 2025 . The tours are approx. 1 hour long. Dogs welcome on leads. The tours are suitable for children 8 years and above. Donations welcome
