Event description

Description

The first event in the Second Air Division Memorial Library's Broken America? Governance in the Age of Division lecture series. Come join us as we have Matt Gallagher, PhD candidate at UEA, speak on the evolution of foreign policy during the George W. Bush administration:

Because of the dramatic change of the internal power balance of the administration between the two terms, foreign policy was greatly affected. Mr. Gallagher will track how the power changed from vice president Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. By comparing the agency of the advisers to the contingency surrounding the Iraq war protests the talk will analyse how American foreign policy is made in the 21st century.
