About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Change is an inevitable part of every construction project. Delays are also common—whether caused by one of the parties involved or by circumstances beyond the parties’ control. Most construction contracts include detailed provisions for managing change and delay, outlining the rules and procedures for adjusting the contract price and time for completion. Yet, when changes are instructed or delays occur, disputes often arise over whether, or to what extent, adjustments to the contract price or duration are justified.

In this event, Dr. Adham Kotb will address the following questions:

  • Why do change and delay continue to present challenges in construction contract practice?
  • How can parties manage differences over contract adjustments more efficiently and effectively?

This event is in partnership with HKA.
