From Shakespeare to Austen – from Renaissance to Romanticism
Overview
About this session
Join Dr Lynda Morgan, an experienced Open University lecturer and tutor, for this stimulating session through centuries of literature.
This session will examine the trajectory of the module A334, exploring the relationship between literary texts and their contexts, and discussing links between different parts of the module.
This is of particular relevance to A334 students approaching their final piece of examinable work, but will also be of general interest to those who want to explore the ways in which literary texts come into being and change over time, so you don't need to be a student on the module to benefit.
All textual extracts we look at will be provided on screen and the slides will be circulated following the study day.
It lasts from 10.00 to 14.00, with a couple of short breaks. There will be plenty of opportunity to make comments and ask questions if you wish.
How to join
Please note that this session will be presented live online via Zoom. For more information on Zoom, see https://zoom.us/ A link will be sent out at least 24 hours beforehand.
