Event description
For anyone lay or ordained, who wants to reflect on how our churches and we as individuals, engage better with those who are not our members

About this Event

From Strangers to Friends is a workshop sharing some good practices and signposting resources developed by the national church to support parishes and individuals as we all try to be a church for those who are not yet part of our church life. Seven people from across the diocese went to a conference in Autumn 2019, to hear about some of the ways in which we could engage better, beginning with those who already want to engage with church. One of the big surprises of the conference was how many (who would not describe themselves as Christian) attending a church-run toddler group, for example, wanted the church to include faith and bible stories in their toddler activities. But there was a large range of other material which excited, inspired or challenged different people in our diocesan group.

This workshop morning is a chance to hear from those who went: what excited them, what they learnt, and which resources they feel will be helpful to other churches in Worcester diocese.
