From Streamform to Arts and Crafts
Sun, June 11, 2017, 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM BST
Starting at the Modernist East Finchley station, this walk goes back in time looking at architectural styles from between the wars on the North side of Hampstead Garden Suburb finishing with arts and crafts cottages. As well as looking at the architecture we discuss some of the people that the street names commemorate, many of whom relate to the Christian Socialist movement and the early Garden City Movement
Starts outside the main entrance to East Finchley Station and finishes at Market Place on the A1 ( a short bus ride from East Finchley or Golders Green)
With this walk you will get an insider’s walk of Hampstead Garden Suburb with a guide who not only is involved in local organisations but has been brought up and educated in the area.
