BDSM has been described as one of the most demonised forms of sexuality, but the recent de-pathologisation in the DSM-5 has led to an increased demand from those involved in the BDSM/Kink Communities for therapists to become kink-aware and kink-knowledgable.

This is the second time Pink Therapy has held a conference which includes kink content - our first in 2015 was alongside a range of other diverse sexualities and lifestyles, and the presentations from that conference are on our YouTube channel.

This year, we're now dedicating a whole conference to the theme of BDSM/Kink as a way to encourage the development of cultural competence and for therapists interested in and working with BDSM/Kink to update their knowledge, skills, and the opportunity to network with colleagues.

The conference is open to counsellors and psychotherapists, clinical sexologists and psychosexual therapists, counselling and clinical psychologists, and those trained in somatic sexological bodywork and sex coaches.
