About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes
What do women's tights, vending machines, drawing tables, fitted kitchens, printed catalogues and software have in common? They all need to be sold by someone.
This talk by Nigel Street will cover lessons learned from a 40 year career in sales and business development.
"In my time a lot has changed, but fear not, this won't be a history lesson or a hankering for the past. There are things that have stood the test of time when it comes to the sales profession, and blending these with the rapid developments of today is what makes the sales profession as vital now as it ever was.
I'll be sharing some of these learnings in the hope that they could be of value to you in your day to day when selling what your business offers; whether that's a professional service delivery or a physical product.
Oh and yes, I really did sell this somewhat eclectic collection of products in my sales career and every one of them brought a different car - which got me started in sales in the first place - more of that later...."
About Nigel Street
"With a career spent in the trenches of sales, operations, and team leadership, I’ve made a habit of learning from people far smarter than me—and occasionally managing to look like I know what I’m doing.
I’ve worked across a range of technologies and markets, but the common thread has always been helping businesses grow through better sales strategy, stronger teams, and clearer value propositions.
These days, I lead a fantastic group at Loftware, where we help companies modernise how they manage product labelling—yes, it’s more exciting than it sounds!"
This event will be held at Patch, which has ramp access and disabled toilets.
