SYNOPSIS

Creating a sense of community was Francis Kéré’s intent for his 2017 Pavilion. As engineers and advisors our role was to provide the technical solutions within a collaborate team environment that transformed his architectural intention from a vision sketched on a piece of paper to a flexible people-focused Pavilion. The presentation will cover a brief summary of the rapid 6 months design, fabricate and build period, finishing with an introduction to the 2018 Pavilion by Frida Escobedo.
