Front Tier Comedy Perth August Showcase -Vlad McTavish and Kenny Sinclair

Front Tier Comedy is back in Perth on Friday August 29th with a fresh line up of Scottish comedy talent, headlined by Scottish comedy legend Vladimir McTavish!

One of the most popular - and certainly most successful - of modern-day Scottish comedians, Vladimir McTavish is a stunning professional in every sense of the word. Whether using his renowned skills as a top class compere or closing a multi-act bill as a first-rate headline act, Vladimir can adapt to any situation and let his quality shine through.Vladimir McTavish serves up a delightful feast of social observation and topical satire, seasoned with his caustic wit and presented via a platter of breakneck-pace patter. In addition to his headline appearances throughout the UK, Ireland, Holland and at the Norwegian Comedy Festival at Stavanger, Vladimir has appeared on a number of popular TV and radio shows. These have included ‘The Empire Laughs Back’ (BBC1), the football game show ‘We’re On Our Way To Wembley’ (ITV) ‘Velvet Cabaret’ (BBC Radio Scotland) and the ‘Live Floor Show’ (BBC Scotland).

Opening the show is Scottish comedy stalwart Kenny Sinclair. Kenny has been a stand-up comedian for around ten years and has performed at comedy clubs across the UK, including The Stand Comedy Clubs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle as well as Breakneck Comedy Club, Hot Water Comedy Club Liverpool and The Monkey Barrel. He performs at The Aberdeen Comedy Festival, Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Brighton Fringe and The Edinburgh Fringe and has performed in Malaysia, Australia and Spain. He was one part of the hugely successful 2023 & 2024 Fringe Show “Men In Quilts” which sold out where he wrote songs and material. In 2024, he also performed his own show “Return to Winching.” He returns to the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 with his new show “The Same Only Different”.

He is also a regular act on comedy nights at Arta Comedy Club, Wild Cabaret, The Enterteasement Comedy Magic Burlesque Club and Des McLean & Friends Comedy Clubs. He regularly opens shows due to his quick fire energetic routines to get gigs off to a flyer at Glasgow Comedy Club Blackfriars, Des McLean and Friends, Sidesplitters Comedy and Momentum Entertainment. He has been described as relatable and likeable with a presence that makes him connect with the audience. He has been support act for Gary Meikle and Fred MacAuley. He has written comedy for BBC Scotland Off The Ball. He has routines about the trials and tribulations of having two sons, adapting to life in the suburbs, fighting middle age and how he feels the world of technology is moving on without him, as well as observations on current affairs that make his stories fresh and relatable.

Our support comes from the most exciting emerging talent in Scotland, with this month's feature being Irish comedian Jay Lynch. Jay is an established act on the Scottish comedy circuit. The resident compère of Bungo’s Basement Comedy Show, he has also performed weekend shows at The Stand Comedy club and hosted the famous Red Raw at The Stand.

Jay’s work in progress brings together his best material from the last few years in a show brimming, in equal parts, with enthusiasm and ennui. Come see one of the rising stars of Scottish Comedy.
