FRS 102 - Are You Ready

On behalf of the Partners of Brown Butler we would like to invite you to attend a practical workshop which will prepare you for the introduction of FRS102!

FRS102 will introduce a number of accounting policy changes for most companies when it is first adopted. Most of these changes will require prior period adjustment. This workshop will consider some of the practical adjustments that will arise and the options open to companies on transition.

The significant areas that FRS102 will impact are:-

Investment properties

Property plant and equipment

Intangible assets

Basic financial instruments - inter company loans, loan notes, directors loans, loans from third parties

Accoounting for leases - operating and finance leases

Employee costs - holiday pay, termination costs, certain profit sharing arrangements; post employment benefits
