Fruit Tree Friday: Planting with Jersey Trees for Life

Fruit Tree Friday: Planting with Jersey Trees for Life

By Jersey Trees for Life - Charity

Overview

Join us on St John's stunning north coast as we kick off our open planting for the season with a fruity new orchard at Sorel.

We're looking for volunteers to help us plant a new orchard at Sorel that will include apple, cherry, pear and walnut trees, all protected by pines.

You can register here if you'd like to be part of the fun.

We'll meet at 9.00am in the public car park at Sorel Point, where parking will be available.

If you have any problems finding us on the day, please call Alex on 07797 774676.

Please keep in mind the following:

- You must complete a volunteer working agreement before attending (link also in confirmation email)

- You may get wet so check the forecast and wear waterproof clothing and boots

- You might get cold so wear layers and don’t forget your hat and gloves

- You may get tired so don’t push yourself too hard; take it at your own pace

- Bring snacks and drinks to maintain energy levels

- We provide equipment but please bring your own spade if you have one

- Ask our team lots of questions and have fun!

Jersey Trees for Life regularly hosts open volunteering, especially during planting season, so keep an eye out.
