About this event

Science & Tech • High Tech

London is still the heartbeat of global fintech.

From banking APIs to digital payments to FX options, the capital is home to thousands of startups building technology that powers the future of finance. In this series of events with the FS Tech Coffee Club we’re diving deep into the companies shaping that world. Each session will spotlight two founders or engineering leaders tackling niche areas of financial services, uncovering their stories, the tech stacks behind them, and the big bets they’re making.

This time, we’re talking to the people behind GoSolo and OptAxe, two very different fintechs innovating in their corners of the FS world.

“The global FX options market is worth roughly $300 billion a day, but remains trapped in manual, fragmented workflows.”

OptAxe: Infrastructure for FX Options

Wayne Pascoe is the technology co-founder behind OptAxe, a digital distribution platform for FX options. Built as an FCA-regulated Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF), OptAxe helps institutional traders, especially banks, distribute and manage FX options axes in a structured, data-rich environment.

It replaces fragmented workflows, chat-based deal-making, and bulk communication with a transparent system that still lets both parties maintain relationships. OptAxe is platform-level technology for a $300 billion-a-day market that’s overdue for transformation.

GoSolo: The Business OS for Solo Founders

Dima Pimakhov is building GoSolo a modern business app designed to simplify how small companies launch and operate in the UK. From formation to payments, GoSolo offers everything in one place: company registration, a virtual business address, a free UK business account, and tools to manage multiple companies under one login.

Where it stands out is in how payments are handled. GoSolo supports card payments via tap-to-pay on iPhone, one-time or reusable links, QR codes, and local bank transfers, all with some of the lowest acceptance fees in the UK. It's an all-in-one platform built for speed, global access, and modern business banking.

Part of the Grow London Global programme and backed by Google Startups in 2025, GoSolo is removing friction for founders, especially international ones, who want to start and scale from the UK.
