Description

Mingle with Members (and non-members!)

Every month FSB Members Linten, Making You Content and BizWizUK host our evenings at their premises.

This month we have a guest speaker from TITAN North West Crimes Unit to come along and talk about Cyber Crime and help us all secure our business against this increasingly prevalent malicious crime. This really is one not to miss – you need to be fully informed and protect your business against cyber criminals.

We have all heard stories about computer hacking and ransom attacks, cybercrime doesn’t just encompass this and now more than ever you need to learn how to protect your business, the measures you can implement to prevent an attack and be advised of current threats to give you complete awareness.

The monthly mingle will take its normal format, meeting at 6pm, with the added value of your all leaving at 8pm armed with Government approved cyber advice on how to protect your business from becoming a victim of cyber crime.

The presentation by Helen Williams from TITAN will cover:

Section 1 – Introduction and context
• Who Titan is
• Where we fit in the law enforcement picture in North West and UK
• What Cyber Crime is and who is behind it

Section 2: Understanding the threat
• Social engineering
• Phishing and spear-phishing
• Non-malicious insider threat
• Malicious insider threat

Section 3: Practical steps to maintain security
• It’s not just a work thing
• Passwords
• Updates/patching
• Anti-virus

The event is FREE to attend with a pay bar available. Please reserve your place on Eventbrite to attend.

We look forward to welcoming you.
