Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Generation Y, or millennials, are now a well-known and often discussed age group – both in academia and in the media – but attention is now moving to the next generation – Generation Z. Who are Generation Z? What are their defining characteristics? What will this mean for the future of work and of entrepreneurship, and what action should Welsh Government take to support this new generation?

FSB Wales is pleased to invite you to our next Round Table Seminar on Tuesday 5th December at USW Exchange. We hope that the seminar will be of interest to the business community, politicians, policy-makers, researchers, students and anyone with an interest in the Welsh economy, as we begin to answer some of the most pressing questions about the next generation of the welsh workforce.

Despite there being a significant number of media articles on Generation Z and a myriad of privately-backed, and government-funded youth entrepreneurship support schemes in Wales, there is a lack of rigorous academic study on the behavioural characteristics of the latest generation of young people as entrepreneurs.

This seminar will explore some of the key themes emerging from studies on generations and their likely impact on entrepreneurship and public policy in Wales. Phil Swan is currently undertaking new research commissioned by the Federation of Small Businesses Wales examining the behaviours and activities of Generation Z Entrepreneurs in Wales.

Light refreshments will be served at the venue.

Should you require any further information, please contact jenna.williams@fsb.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
