Emporium is a two-day event for producers, promoters, venues, professional theatre and dance companies, offering the opportunity to network with colleagues, promote work and book shows for venues.
Early Dialogue Day (15 March 2017)
Producing companies and artists will present work, which is at the very early stages of creation, to venues, promoters and producers who have the capacity to produce other artists' work. This process provides an opportunity for both parties to discuss artistic plans 12 – 24 months in advance of production stage and for promoters/venues to feedback and express their interest. The artists presenting on the day have already been selected and represent a wide range of genres, scales and target audiences.
In response to feedback from promoters/venues who attended Early Dialogue Day in 2016, we have selected a lower number of artists/companies presenting during the EDD 2017 to allow them and the venues/promoters longer time for dialogue and discussions.
Market Day (16 March 2017)
This day will follow the already successful Emporium format, allowing artists and venues to promote and programme existing work which is available for touring within the following 6-12 months. It includes a range of networking and promotional opportunities with Open Exchange and scheduled face-to-face sessions with the companies, promoters and venues of your choice.
All those who have booked and have submitted their delegate pack entry, will be sent a proof of their entry and then hear from us again shortly with a full attendee list for the Face to Face meeting selections. We will confirm everyone's meeting schedules in early March 2017.
