Fuel Poverty and Energy Advice: FREE training
Event Information
About this Event
This event will be delivered using Zoom and is particularly suitable for those working in the Coventry area
Training is open to all front line council, voluntary sector and NHS staff. Following the training you will be able to:
• Be aware of the impact of COVID 19 on Fuel Poverty
• Know what grants are available via the Green Homes Grant scheme
• Support people in practical ways to save energy and money
• Know what support/grants are available locally
• What the LADs scheme is and if applicable what schemes are running in your area
• Identify the causes of fuel poverty and know how this can affect people
• Spot the signs of fuel poverty
All the training sessions are similar but depending on which area you select this will be tailored to the grants/schemes in that area.
By accessing the training you are committing to complete an evaluation form which will be sent to you by email (your email address will be used for this purpose and to inform you of future training dates).
The training is online saving time and money in travelling and we hope you will be able to join us for an informative session. Training delivered last year was highly thought of and a couple of quotes include:
•` I now have a much better understanding of Fuel Poverty and how it can impact people’s health and wellbeing
• I feel more confident in giving Energy Advice and who to signpost people to agencies'
