Is there parking on-site at The Deanery?

There is free parking for 192 cars at the Deanery. However, parking does get very busy at peak times, so please plan ahead and leave at least 30 minutes to find parking before any talks or shows you've booked - or consider alternative methods of transport were possible

Is there public transport to the Deanery?

Accepted Answer

You can reach the venue on Swindon's Bus Company service #11 or Stagecoach route #9 (get off at Waitrose)

Question 3

Will food and drink be available to buy at the event?

Accepted Answer

A selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and light meals will be available from on-site caterers during the event. There is also Hall and Woodhouse and Waitrose across the road for refreshments. Or you are welcome to bring your own picnic, but please respect that our host venue is a nut-free zone.

Yes, you are very welcome to bring your own refreshments, but please respect that our host venue is a nut-free zone.

Question 5

Is the venue accessible for wheelchairs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Deanery is fully accessible for wheelchair users and anyone who may need a little more time or assistance getting seating for talks and shows. Please let us know at reception if you need to use the lift, or are arriving for a talk or show.

Question 6

Do I need to register if I just want to explore the free interactive Discovery Zones?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend registering for free admission passes before the event, as the Festival Finale is a very popular event and we may need to restrict entry on the day to make sure the number of visitors in the venue don't exceed the maximum safe capacity.

Question 7

Do under 18s need pre-booked tickets to get into talks and shows?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to secure a seat in any of the talks or shows, everyone who wants to attend needs a ticket -  (apart from babes in arms  - under 12 months old) Tickets for under 18s are free for all the Festival Finale talks and shows, but under 16s must always be accompanied by an adult ticket-holder.

Are there any concessionary ticket discounts available?

Under 18s tickets are free to all our talks and shows (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult ticketholder). A small charge applies for adults tickets to talks and shows. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact us for assistance.

Can I reserve my choice of seats at my talk or show?

Accepted Answer

No, seating at all our talks and shows is unallocated. Please follow instructions given by our volunteer stewards to help everyone get in and seated in good time so that the show can start on time.
