Ellis Brigham Knowledge Sessions are all about sharing our outdoor experience. Along with guest speakers and partners, we will give you the tools you need to tackle your next adventure. From tips and tricks on getting the most out of your gear to advice on destinations and preparing for your next expedition. We will cut through the jargon and give you no-nonsense advice.

Want to optimise your nutrition for your next adventure but not sure where to start? Whether you are tackling an ultra marathon, heading out on the bike or looking to cover some miles walking across fells of the Lake District making sure you are prepared with your nutrition is key.

Rachel will cover the most important elements, including nutrition to prep for your training, adventures and races, to how to optimise your nutrition to perform to your best ability.

Some of the areas covered:-Pre and post training nutrition

-Race day/adventure nutrition plans. Practical tips on the best food and sports products to consider.

-Training the gut. How to overcome any gastro issues whilst exercising.

-Hydration.

-Ensuring your day to day nutrition is optimal to enable you to achieve and enjoy your adventures.

About Rachel

Rachel is a registered sports dietitian based in Bristol. She works predominantly with endurance athletes from new runners to professional athletes. Rachel supports her clients by providing tailored support with practical strategies to optimise their everyday nutrition and fuel for performance. In her spare time Rachel enjoys trail running and cycling; from parkrun to multi-stage ultras and bikepacking races.
