Event description
Join inspirational teacher and speaker Emma Slade for a mind-expanding event to be facilitated by Cora Kemball-Cook

About this Event

2020 has been a year of constant change. It has inspired and challenged many of you to re-evaluate the life you are leading. Are you doing work you love? Are you living in the right place with the people you want to spend your time with? What do you need to achieve to have peace of mind?

In this mind-expanding event, Emma Slade will give you the opportunity to develop greater personal insight into what will be a fulfilling life for yourself. She will help you to explore what areas of your life you would like to develop and how you might achieve what you dream of. If you were given an extra day a week, how might you choose to fill it? How would you like to move forward at this time?

This ConsciousCafe Global session will provide you with new information, new ways of seeing the world and ever more personal insights so that you will be empowered to take positive action to create the life you want.

Please bring pen and paper and there will be a breakout session for discussion in small groups.

About Emma Slade

Emma Slade is an inspirational teacher and speaker who will bring her wide life experience, compassion and humour to this topic. In her previous life she was a financial analyst working for HSBC on an investment portfolio of $1bn. Following a life changing experience of being held hostage at gun point in Jakarta, she decided to spend time learning more about the deeper aspects of what it means to be human and this led her to Eastern spirituality, training as a yoga teacher and then becoming a Buddhist, which led to her being ordained as a Buddhist nun. She completed a post Graduate in Coaching from the University of Chester and is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.

About Cora Kemball-Cook

Cora will facilitate the discussion both sharing her own experience and that of other successful communities. She has been running the lively Canterbury ConsciousCafe group since 2017 and this now has around 200 members. Her interest in running groups was born out of her belief in the value in creating a community of likeminded people around us. She worked in London for many years as a speech and language therapist and during this time ran many groups with the aim of helping to stimulate communication and understanding between people.

She is now a yoga teacher and has created a community of local yoga teachers who get together to share best practice. In her neighbourhood she has helped to organise community groups and charity events and is always looking at new ways to help people come together. In this conversation we will explore how to create successful communities despite the restrictions that the pandemic is imposing on us!
