We welcome all of you to The Shanti Space for an evening of ceremony & celebration. Join us for a beautiful moment together on the full moon with cacao as we sing, alchemise & express through mantra, medicine & heart songs.....

We open with a meditative moment connecting with our deeper heart's desire & wish upon it as we drink our tasty cacao.

☾ CACAO

Cacao, or what modern man might call, raw chocolate, was revered by the ancient civilisations of South and Central America and used as a health elixir, medicine and aphrodisiac. Nicknamed 'Heart blood' by the Aztecs, it was believed to have a powerful heart healing capacity, signifying life and fertility.

Today, now labeled as a superfood, science has shown Cacao to have highly nutritious properties, countless vitamins and minerals such as magnesium (important for healthy blood pressure and heart function), a huge amount anti-oxidants (20x more than blueberries!) and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies show Cacao to benefit the heart and cardiovascular system as a whole and how it activates neurotransmitters in the brain that bring about the feelings of bliss, love, pleasure and motivation.

Many of us think of yoga as a set of exercises. But that is only a small part of the picture. What of the heart? What of the great and sometimes stormy sea of human emotion?

Thousands of years ago, the rishis, or seers, of India gave us the systems of yoga to bring us to a state of harmony, peace, & ultimately, union with the Divine.

These yogis were well aware of the multiple layers—physical, mental, emotional—that make up the human being, so they created practices to bring light to the whole being.

They saw emotions as vital & sacred & saw them, not as an obstacle, but as a great energy that could bring us to liberation. They gave us bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion, to channel that energy & use it as a bridge to carry us back to our source.

Join us in this magical forest location: The Shanti Space, Quinta Dos Lobos, Mafra

Find yourself held in the arms of nature; amongst ancient native corks and abundant fruit trees, swept up in the enchantment of a forest filled Portuguese valley.

The Shanti Space is a beautiful traditional Quinta set in the forest of a national park. Cocooned by nature, our neighbours are an Iberian Wolf Sanctuary, the Tapada de Mafra where many animals like deer, wild boar and owls also reside.

IMPORTANT: If it's your first time, please be aware that GPS takes cars the wrong way. Turn off the N8 at Vale da Guarda opposite ALFALMA CARS, down the bumpy track to the location :)

Use this in GPS and then follow the track to the end and you will reach The Shanti Space ✨

* Please note cacao is not suitable if you are on antipsychotic medication or if you are pregnant.

Your Favourite cup to receive cacao, instrument, any crystals you may wish to charge on the alter, water bottles & comfy clothing.
