Event description

Description

Lammas is the first of two harvest festivals on The Wheel Of the Year. Our ancestors celebrated the bounty of the harvest at this time and began to cut down the grain to support them through the fall and winter. Corn "dolly's" were crafted for good luck.

Although we now have year round access to our food, we symbolically and ritually acknowledge that which we harvest at this time of the year. As wise women we will gather in sacred circle to share our wisdom, and revel in what we gather from the world.
Since it is also a full moon (on Monday, and a partial eclipse) in the sign of Aquarius a very social sign, this is a perfect time to gather in a circle of women, supporting each other's brilliance.
Once we claim and name what we harvest, and what we choose to leave behind (separating the seed from the shaft) we will raise our energy with a cone of power to send our magic out into the world.
Bring an item to get charged on the alter if you'd like.
Good colors to wear are deep golds and browns.
