Can we bring children to the event

Accepted Answer

Whilst I love the idea of children being able to attend gatherings with parents, at this event I cannot be responsible for their safety in my outside space in the dark or by the large fire pit due to several factors, thank you for your understanding on this

Can I bring alcohol

Accepted Answer

I respectfully request that you leave this at home so we can gather in ease and connect with one another on the same vibe

Question 3

Is there parking? Can I bring my bike safely in?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available on the drive or for free on the streets surrounding and you may bring your bikes through behind the gates and lock them up to the deck railings if you wish, or right down the back to the fire (bringing them over the lawn) if you wish to have them in site, no problem.

Question 4

What if rain is forecast

Accepted Answer

Unless 100% snow/rain/storms/high wind is predicted, or it has been wet for days, it is likely we will go ahead with canopies overhead. However we may need to stand rather than sit round the fire as the available space becomes smaller with the need for shelter!

Question 5

What shall I wear?

Accepted Answer

Whatever you wish to keep warm and dry! It is warm by the fire, and we've been out there in 5 degrees before and not needed blankets or hats, but away from the fire it will be cold! Wellies (warm socks) or boots advisable as you will need to cross a wet, and often muddy, lawn to get to the bark area

Can I drop in or do I have to get there for the start?

We like to connect as a group early on, if we know you are definitely coming and will be a little late we will wait for you before starting this part, which is why I ask for contact details :o)

Question 7

How long is the event

Accepted Answer

We are usually wrapping up around 10.30-11pm depending, and will have stopped very loud drumming before this, but nothing is set in stone, leave whenever you need to :o)

Question 8

What can I bring?

Accepted Answer

Yourselves most importantly! Cold snacks to share (not that need heating), drum or rattle/shaker if you have them.. often we have a mix of Djembi and Shamanic style drums brought along, and there's usually opportunity to share if you don't have one to bring yourself. Donations of firewood also good!

Question 9

I don't feel I have anything to bring or share and I don't know anyone.. will I be welcomed?

Of course, this is an opportunity to connect with friends you just haven't met yet of all types/ ages and genders and spend an evening round the fire.. often people come who don't know anyone else, all good hearted and genuine souls are welcome

What is provided?

Fire! Shared bench style seats with garden style seat cushions (please let me know if you need a supported back chair due to physical reasons and I can accommodate this), tea, water .. a toilet is available in my studio adjacent to the woodland area :o)

Question 11

Is there disabled access/how accessible is the space

Accepted Answer

In order to get to the raised lawn there are two or three steps, which can be slippery, and there is another couple of steps once at the rear by the fire. If you need help please let me know in advance and we will try if we can to assist your access.
