Strategic engagement is a core pillar of MCOM. Stakeholders have the power to inhibit or accelerate achievement of our communications objectives and can galvanise resources far beyond government. The right approach can make all the difference. Stakeholders can add independent credibility to what we are trying to achieve, facilitate our access to audiences, feedback on the progress of campaigns, flag issues early, and add their expertise to the development of communications and policy.

Who's it for:

IO - G7 colleagues who are either new to a stakeholder engagement role or need to improve their understanding of this area.

What it will cover:

This workshop will give you confidence in all stages of stakeholder engagement. It will outline tools and techniques for assessing and prioritising stakeholders before making an initial approach, establishing and sustaining effective partnerships, and evaluating results. It puts the science behind the art, and offers tips on how best to identify, engage and work in partnership with key stakeholders.
