We are delighted that Az2B Theatre Company will be performing two of their dementia plays as part of our workshops.

Afternoon

The afternoon session will feature a performance of 'What Do You See?' which follows the later stages of dementia. Set in a care home, it explores issues around good leadership and management, person centred care, life histories and end of life palliative care. It has been described as a 'theatrical feast', 'powerful', 'realistic' and 'incredibly funny'. Workshops following the play will offer the opportunity to explore the issues it raises further. A buffet lunch will be provided on arrival.

Evening

'What Do You See?' acts as a companion piece to 'Grandma Remember Me' which opens our evening workshop. Drawing on the experiences of living with someone with dementia, Grandma Remember Me is a moving story of a special relationship between a Grandma and her Granddaughter. The evening session will also include a Christmas buffet dinner and disco offering the opportunity to celebrate the amazing work done by those in social care and healthcare.

We would like the evening session to be a real celebration of all the fabulous people and organisations who work in care and health in Cornwall. And we would love everyone coming along to get into the Christmas spirit a little early. We want to see lots of festive attire so dig out those Christmas jumpers, Santa hats and seasonal socks. Or channel your inner dancing queen and come dressed to sparkle and shine!
