What should I wear to the classes?

Wear comfortable exercise clothes and I will have hip belts to practice with.

How long have you been teaching for?

I have been a student and performer of this beautiful dance form for over thirty years and have been teaching for fifteen years at Hammersmith College, East Ham Leisure Centre, St Pancras Community Centre in Camden and also at Poplar Union in East London.

What are the benefits of Belly Dance?

Belly Dance is a great low impact exercise that works on spine flexibility, core stability, balance, co-ordination and also tones arms and releases stress in the shoulders and hands. It is a great compliment to other forms of exercise as it also facilitates creative, physical expression.

Fun Belly Dance classes for Beginners and Improvers

Come and join me to learn and review the building blocks of Belly Dance technique at St Mary's Neighbourhood Centre! Whether you're a complete novice or looking to refine your moves, these classes are perfect for anyone wanting to learn the art of belly dancing. I will guide you through basic steps and techniques, helping you build confidence and have a great time. We will also learn a short, accessible choreography and enjoy a spot of freestyle practice at the end. Don't miss out on this fun opportunity to learn a new skill and meet like-minded individuals. See you on the dance floor! Classes are held on Mondays 8pm and the next block of classes will be on Monday September 22, 29 and October 6th 8pm to 9pm.
