FREE Composting Workshop for Kids (7-14 years)
Thursday 14 11am-12.30pm
Join us for an interactive Composting Workshop at Calthorpe Community Garden, designed for children aged 7 to 14
Do your kids ever wonder what happens to their apple cores or banana peels? This workshop will show them how food waste can be transformed into amazing superfood for plants!
What your child will experience:
- Worm Wonders: Get up close and personal with our wriggly composting heroes – the worms!
- Compost Creations: Learn how everyday food scraps become nutrient-rich soil.
- Hands-On Fun: We'll get our hands dirty as we build mini-composts and see the composting process in action.
- Eco-Heroes in Training: Discover how easy and fun it is to make a positive impact on our planet.
This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn about sustainability, responsibility, and the incredible power of nature in a fun, engaging, and hands-on environment.
This event is funded by the North London Waste Authority
You can attend this workshop on its own, but it's also part of the Calthorpe Community Garden Summer Camp. You're welcome to sign up for the full camp experience!
