Fun Palaces supports local people to co-create their own cultural and community events, across the UK and worldwide, sharing and celebrating the genius in everyone.
On 4th October 2025, join Brook Arts Hub and River Hope at Stratford Library to celebrate water and rivers with free, drop in activities for all ages. No booking required.
For families with children aged 4+ - "A River Comes to Life" - help create a river installation:
10am – 12pm: Lego – will you add a bridge over the river or a building on the bank?
12.30pm – 2.30pm: Riverscape creativity and crafts - imagine and create plants, fishes, water birds and animals to bring our riverscape to life.
12:30 – 2:30pm: Listening Corner with a selection of poems and stories about water from around the world.
For all ages:
10am - 3pm: River Hope community photography and video installation.
For ages 12+ including adults:
10.15am: Shakespeare for All: come along to read Twelfth Night aloud, or just to listen, in partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Please note the library is likely to look a bit different on this date with some shelving being moved, and a higher noise level than usual.
