A Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) is the first step to understanding the behaviour leading to bespoke planning to adapt it to better suit the classroom / school environment
On this course you will learn how to:
<UL>
<LI>Identify and describe the Problem Behaviour </LI>
<LI>Collecting Data About the Problem Behavior i.e. When and under what circumstances does the behavior occur? How often does the behavior occur? How long does the behavior last? etc.</LI>
<LI>Analyse the Data and Write the F.B.A. - once the behavior is described and the data is collected, it's time to analyse the information you have collected and determine the purpose, or consequence, of the behavior. </LI>
<LI><A HREF="https://www.thoughtco.com/abc-antecedent-behavior-and-consequence-3111263" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></A>Consequences - Once you have analysed the behavior and identified the consequence, you can begin to create an intervention plan to reframe/ re shape the unwanted behaviour.</LI>
</UL>
PLEASE NOTE this course is intended for a target audience of SENCos and /or SLT. Other staff can accompany their colleagues from a school but a SENCo or Senior Lead must be the main attendee.
