Functional Fitness MOT

Come for a 45 minute appointment for your Functional Fitness MOT and see how well you are ageing. Join us at Banchory Ternan West Parish Church of Scotland and we'll offer you a series of functional tests to give you an idea of how your fitness compares to your peers. The results of these tests will be used to discuss the different components of functional fitness and highlight your strengths and weaknesses. You will have time to discuss your findings with us and create an action plan with a view to improving your outcomes. This event is perfect for all levels of fitness and is aimed at people 65 and over.

Frequently asked questions

What time is my appointment?

When you choose your ticket, note that each ticket has a time allocated to it and the time you have clicked on, is then your appointment time. The event says it lasts from 09:00 - 15:00 but your ticket will be a particular hour in that time frame.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing and footwear. While you're unlikely to break a sweat, the room can be warm so casual, layered clothes are recommended. We will also be measuring flexibility so wear something that you gives you easy movement.

How do I access the building?

The venue is Banchory West Church on the High Street. The best idea is to come in via the main entrance as other rooms in the church building are being used for other classes/ events.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive, you will be given a booklet and allocated a member of the team who will take you round the circuit and go through the findings with you. At the end you will have a conversation about next steps. The circuit takes up to an hour.
