Introduction

Octavius is a small Women led training provider,Working with Women and Girls , offering qualifications , courses and training. We started delivering Functional Skills in October 2024 through the NOCN.

We aim to deliver a personalised learning journey through experienced teachers, tutors and mentors.

Lessons will be delivered online by qualified ( or trainee ) teachers with in person support on the day by a trained mentor at OLDP Women’s hub, where Octavius is based. The English and Maths Functional Skills lessons will run consecutively with an overlap that teachers/tutors can use for handover or break-time.

Regular assessments of the learner will be a feature of our personalised learner experience, initial assessments and assessment before exam registration will be in person at the hub.

At the end of each term break, learners will have an opportunity to be assessed and take Examinations, held at the OLDP Women’s hub
