This session gives you a clear, practical overview of how Meta ads work and how to plan effective campaigns.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:

  • Decide if Meta is the right channel for your campaign
  • Understand how your ads might look across different placements and platforms
  • Understand what visual format of ads to choose for what you’re hoping to achieve
  • Know the different types of audiences available on Meta
  • Understand how your campaign objectives align with Meta’s standard objectives and pick the right one for your campaign
  • Understand what KPIs apply to your campaign performance and why these are important to track and adjust for
  • Use rules of thumb to decide how much media spend to set aside for your campaigns
  • Understand the pixel and how this is used to measure campaign performance


Google Ads for Charities

Google Ads help charities reach people who are actively searching for support, services, or ways to help. Whether you’re using the Ad Grant or a paid account, this session will help you understand the platform and how to make the most of it.

  • Understand the differences and benefits between Google Ad Grants and paid accounts
  • Identify key restrictions on Ad Grants and how to work around them
  • Plan campaigns and choose clear objectives
  • Research and select relevant keywords for your charity

  • Spot and solve common post-launch issues


SEO for Charities

If people can’t find your website in search results, they can’t use your services or support your cause. This session breaks down the basics of SEO so that your content and web pages can reach the right audiences.

By the end of the session, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand how search engines crawl and index content
  • Recognise the different types of search results and how they appear
  • Explore how keywords, search volume, and intent influence visibility
  • Connect your site’s goals with a clear website funnel
  • Understand the three pillars of SEO: technical setup, content, and links
  • Structure and write content with SEO in mind, including titles, headings and meta descriptions
  • Evaluate content quality and how it supports your charity’s visibility
