About this event

This free workshop, delivered by Climate Clarity in partnership with Bedford Borough Council, invites all local volunteers and school staff, including leaders and educators, to learn about climate change through the interactive Climate Fresk method. Funded by the National Lottery Awards for All England, this event offers a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of climate science and explore how to engage others in meaningful climate education.

What to Expect

In this 3-hr in person workshop you will:

  • Get to grips with the science of climate change
  • Understand the causes and effects through an interactive card game
  • Share your reactions in a supportive space
  • Brainstorm bold and creative action ideas with like-minded souls.

You will leave this workshop confident to converse and with a constructive approach to change!

How to Prepare

  • No prior knowledge needed – the workshops are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their prior experience with climate science.
  • Bring enthusiasm and curiosity – come prepared to engage with the content and likeminded individuals in a collaborative and interactive environment.

Opportunities for Further Engagement

After completing this workshop, you will be invited to express your interest for a fully funded follow-up session on the 23rd of September where you can receive the certification needed to become a Climate Fresk Facilitator. As a facilitator, you will be empowered to train others and lead workshops in your local community group or school, with the initial support of Climate Clarity to facilitate your first session. Please note that becoming a certified Climate Fresk Facilitator is optional and not required to attend this initial workshop.

Limited spaces available – don’t miss out on this opportunity and register now!

Come along this session if you want to find out more about climate science, facilitating climate workshops, and empowering our local community to deliver positive climate action!
