Event description

Description

Starting a business can be a daunting prospect and requires a level of start up capital to progress the idea and build the foundations. Many creative and digital businesses seek financial funds from external resources to get their ideas to fruition and this session will cover which avenues of raising finance are applicable to a new start up.

Joining the session will be TEDCO, who based at Sunderland’s Business Innovation Centre have helped thousands of businesses to start, grow and achieve sustainable business success in the last five years. They are delivery partners with Virgin Start Up too, providing low cost loans, advice, resources and support with a number of programmes through out the region.

Also with us will be Julie Skevington, director of Sincero Business Growth and Funding Solutions Ltd. Julie can discuss and explain the different funding avenues to explore with a wealth of experience to help offer practical advice and support to pre-start up businesses. Working with Transmit Start-Ups a national delivery partner of the Start-Up Loans Company (a Government initiative set up in 2012) Julie can help you find the most appropriate funding solutions to allow you to concentrate on running your business in these early stages.
