Funding After Brexit

FROM 2pm to 5pm, 29th March 2017 @ Resource for London - Seminar Room 2

The Culture Capital Exchange, in collaboration with Culture.info and Euclid, invites you to a seminar and discussion aimed at the higher education sector, which will focus on Brexit and EU funding opportunities from 2017-2019/20.

The Brexit part of this event aims to help the arts and culture sector understand the implications of Brexit and to help anyone who wants to campaign, to ensure that the final Brexit deal has minimal negative impact on the sector. This will include:

  1. An update on Brexit news and the implications for the arts & culture sector.

  2. An understanding of key facts about the EU, especially those that may continue to impact on the UK, depending on the “softness” or “hardness” of the final Brexit deal.

  3. A platform to discuss the issues of most concern to the sector and ways of lobbying for the voice of the sector to be heard during the next 2 years of Brexit negotiations.

The EU Funding part will provide an overview of EU funding opportunities from 2017-19/20, including:

  • Creative Europe: Culture / Media

  • Erasmus+

  • Europe for Citizens

  • Horizon 2020

  • Interreg V

  • European Structural & Investment Funds (ESIF).

For each of these programmes, the session will provide an overview of the key criteria as well as a summary of key facts, including forthcoming deadlines, partnership requirements, funding available, match funding demands (some of these funds do not require any!), etc.

Both sections of the seminar will include opportunities for questions and discussion.

The seminar will be presented by Geoffrey Brown, Director of Euclid, the UK’s leading independent expert for EU funding for arts and culture. Euclid has been advising on EU opportunities for over 20 years, and was the official UK Culture Contact Point from 1999-2009.

We look forward to welcoming you,
