About this Event

An online group conversation with Clarissa Corfe (Arts Council England) Jayne Ashe (Pendle Hill Fund), Shamshad Khan and Paul Hartley (In-Situ)

Friday 3rd April, 9.30-11.30

Hosted by In-Situ on Zoom.

Please join us on Zoom, the online meeting platform, for a shorter session talking about future funding opportunities. This is also an opportunity for you to share and ask questions about funding, both during this current time and for your near future projects.

This will be the first time we have switched to host an event online during this time, so we will all be learning and adapting together!

We are committed to supporting artists and practitioners from the area in an ongoing way during the current crisis, and hope that this session might be the first of many opportunities to speak to funders and professionals and each other around funding, resiliance and what might be next in your career or project.

Let us know whether you are interested in attending and whether you have any specific questions we can prepare for.

We will send you a link to the meeting in due course,

Stay safe and best wishes,

In-Situ

ORIGINAL EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Join us for a day looking at funding for artists, practitioners and community groups.

There will be talks on current available funding by Arts Council England and Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership.

In-Situ will discuss upcoming opportunities and artists working on projects in the area will talk about how their work is funded and offer useful tips.

You can then arrange a 30 minute 1:1 to discuss your project ideas and questions directly with a funder.

There will also be a chance in the afternoon for you to talk through your ideas with the In-Situ team in an open pop-up co-working space. You will also meet other artists, groups and practitioners developing projects in the area, build new relationships, and talk about possible future collaborations and opportunties.

Lunch will be provided - a taster of Pendle Peat Pie. The recipe has been created in a collaboration between artist Kerry Morrison and Chef Andy Dean to raise awareness of the ecological importance of peat restoration on Pendle Hill. This project is commissioned by In-Situ with Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership and funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.

You will go away with some clear next steps around funding and project opportunities, a brief overview of UK funding models, inspiration from other artists about how they have funded their work, a greater understanding of how to make a successful funding application, and with new connections to the community of artists and practitioners working in and around Pendle and East Lancashire.

Places are free but limited. To secure a place at the day, please book, and email anna@in-situ.org.uk if you would like to schedule a 1:1 with either Clarissa Corfe, Arts Council England or Jayne Ashe, Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership.
