Welcome to this fundraiser for The Hanoon Foundation, in support of medical training and independent healthcare in Palestine. Expect a wide range of music - from harmony singing to blues, calypso and folk - as well as a raffle with fun prizes and a talk from a representative of Hanoon. All proceeds will go to Hanoon so please give generously! We have a suggested entry donation of £10.
Here’s some more of what to enjoy from the musicians playing on the night - diverse genres- unified by care for the people of Palestine.
Ukadelix - A five piece, all female band performing a mixture of covers and originals sprinkled with lovely harmonies and a perfect blend of polish and fun.
Archie and the Shuttlers - With songs often dubbed "quirky" this brand of folk has also struck some folk as “freak”, “alt” and “anti”. As well as old fan favourites, for this event there will be some songs specifically about Palestine.
Alex MacDonald - folk musician playing blues, country, calypso, Türkü and other styles. When not folking around Alex works as a journalist for the Middle East Eye.
Tommy Macdonald blends blues, jazz and folk with a potent voice, satirical wit and stunning songwriting. As well as being Alex’s brother he’s also Archie’s teaching colleague.
Join us for a lovely little evening of entertainment all in aid of an urgently important cause
