Fundraising for Archives: Crowdfunding, Crowdsourcing & Digital Fundraising
Wed 19 October 2016, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
Following a sell-out programme of courses this summer, we are delighted to offer even more training opportunities to all across the archive sector.
In May 2016 the Royal Voluntary Service ran a Kickstarter campaign to digitise their UNESCO UK Memory of the World inscribed Narrative Reports for the Second World War. In one month over 700 people stepped up to help them smash their £25,000 target. Could you achieve the same?
This course is crowd fundraising 101:
What different types of crowdfunding are there?
What websites can you set up a fundraising campaign on- and which is right for your campaign?
How can archives benefit from crowdsourcing?
What should your online campaign strategy include?
How can you spread the word about your campaign?
These are some of the questions we shall be answering on the day.
This course is aimed at all those actively involved in digital communication and fundraising for archives projects and sites.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including lunch.
Once you have registered for this event, we will be in contact with you to get a better understanding of how to make sure the training meets your needs.
This event is very popular and places are limited so please only book if you will be able to attend. If you can no longer attend the event then please do email firstname.lastname@example.org
