Fundraising for Archives: Measuring Outcomes, Benchmarking & Evaluation
Thu 28 September 2017, 10:30 – 15:30 BST
Demonstrating the value of your archive is crucial when trying to win funding or support for your service. To clearly reflect the positive impact that the activity of your archive makes it is essential to have a strong outcomes framework and evaluation process.
This course will:
Introduce you to the guidance and frameworks that archives can use to measure the outcomes of their activity
Provide you with the opportunity to create your own outcomes framework
Enable you to understand the concept of benchmarking, cover the data that is available and how it can be used
Introduce evaluation methodologies and demonstrate how best to approach the process
Providing excellent templates, frameworks and guidance, this module will help you to confidently and clearly evaluate your activity, and use this to demonstrate the value and impact of your service when appealing for both internal and external support and funding.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including lunch.
We are very pleased to be able to offer all attendees a fully-funded place on every Fundraising for Archives course. However, as our events have running costs funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, we ask that you only register for a place if you will be able to attend on the day, and if you do become unable to attend, please give us as much notice as you can, so that we can make the most of all places available. If you need to cancel your place please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
