Fundraising Lecture for IFAW
Sat 2 December 2017, 17:00 – 21:30 GMT
Fundraising photography lecture for IFAW
All proceeds from the ticket sales to be donated to the International Fund for Animal Welfare
brand new presentation by professional nature photographer, Robert Canis
Although Robert Canis very much considers himself to be a stay-at-home nature photographer, for more than 15 years he has had a fascination with Finnish Lapland and earlier this year embarked on a week-long adventure to the Lappish wilderness of Lemmenjoki. This fundraising event for the IFAW will be divided into two parts. The first will include many of Robert's personal favourites of everyday subjects captured on his local patch. Badgers, hares, owls and the soul-stirring landscape of the Kent marshes will all be featured. The second part will include Robert’s most recent winter adventure to Finnish Lapland where he, along with a good friend, skied and snowshoed its wild interior.
As with all his lectures, he will discuss the various techniques he employed to capture his images and the thought process that lay behind them.
Doors open at 5 for a 5.30pm start.
Concludes at 9.30pm with a mid-point break
N.B. Due to the sheer volume of people attending and the requirement to prepare the tea and coffee, refreshments will not be available so it is advised that you bring a bottle of water or similar with you on the evening.
