Description

A Message from PEOPLES RED LINE NHS : Unfortunately, Harry Leslie Smith has had to postpone his visit to Northern Devon due to a post operative infection that has left him unable to travel. We are planning to go ahead with the lunch and an alternative talk with a message from Harry via internet link. We will of course either give a full refund or a complementary ticket for when Harry does come down in the new year.

Obviously, while we are deeply disappointed that Harry is not well enough to make the journey down to Northern Devon at this time and our thoughts remain with him, wishing him a speedy and full recovery from his infection. I offer my apology for any inconvenience that this very late notice, however, Harry had remained very optimistic of being well enough to come down only deciding this evening that his health was not able to sustain the journey.

This situation, as unfortunate as it is, does underline the importance of our fight to defend the NHS. I hope that you will still join us for a discussion on the situation in Devon's NHS and help us raise funds for the future.

Many thanks for your understanding and help in this situation

James Craigie

A presentation by Harry Leslie Smith over lunch to help raise funds for the Peoples Red Line NHS, the campaign group fighting against the closures and cuts to Devon's NHS.

PEOPLES' RED LINE NHS campaigns for

The government to implement 3 simple reforms

  1. Fix NHS funding as a proportion of GDP, equal to the average for developed nations

  2. Remove Parasitic Privatisations

  3. End the internal market that has more than doubled management costs in the NHS
