These successful women have invested in or raised money for new companies. The evening is sponsored by Barclays Accelerator Powered by Techstars.

Eileen Burbidge, co-founder and VC at Passion Capital (@eileentso)
Eileen Burbidge is a Partner at London-based Passion Capital, the best performing seed-stage venture fund in Europe which she established alongside Stefan Glaenzer and Robert Dighero. She brings extensive operational experience to her investment activities gleaned from business and product development roles at Yahoo!, Skype, PalmSource, Openwave, Sun and Apple. Eileen was ranked #18 in the WIRED100 list (2012) and serves on the advisory board for Tech City (chaired by the Prime Minister’s Office at No 10 Downing Street). She is also a frequent guest commentator on Bloomberg TV, CNBC and BBC News. Eileen holds a Computer Science engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Kelsey Lynn, Director Technology Ventures, Imperial Innovations (@kelsey_innovate)
Passionate about the intersection of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, Kelsey Lynn is Director Technology Ventures at Imperial Innovations, a £250m venture capital and technology commercialization business associated with the top UK research universities. Innovations provides early-stage venture capital to pioneering scientists and entrepreneurs commercializing differentiated technology into global markets. A mechanical engineering by training, Kelsey practiced venture capital in Silicon Valley as a Partner at Firelake Capital as well as roles at Google and Stanford University. She currently sits on the boards of Econic Technologies and Aqdot Ltd and looks for new investments in materials, energy, Internet of Things and enabling technologies.
Linsey Willaford-West, founder of eTeamups (@LinseyWillaford)
The common thread throughout Linsey's career her passion for start-ups. Most recently, she founded and successfully exited eTeamUps, a SaaS product for companies to identify team fit via cutting-edge science and technology. Prior to that, she created a brand that helped young people in the UK aspire to create startups. She has also worked with startups in Sillcon Valley where she attended Stanford to acquire an MBA. Prior to business school, Linsey worked at Eli Lilly ("big pharma") in sales, marketing and strategy. Currently, Linsey works on innovation challenges as a marketing and product consultant.
Alexandra Depledge, co-founder & CEO of Hassle (@adepledge)
Alex Depledge hails from the North of England, but started her career in US politics while living in Chicago. She returned to UK in 2006 where she joined management consulting firm Accenture working predominantly with Energy clients. She made the leap into entrepreneurship in 2012 after years of harassment from her best friend Jules. Together with Tom they founded Hassle.com, a London based startup that makes it easy for anyone to book a pre-vetted cleaner online. Recently, Alex was named as one of the top 100 CEOs by Silicon Valley Comes to the UK and Hassle.com just closed a $6 million Series A investment from Accel Partners to expand into major cities in the UK and Europe.
Kate Ryder, Founder & CEO of Maven (@kentuckychang)
Kate Ryder is the Founder and CEO of Maven, a digital clinic for women. Previously, Kate was an early stage investor at Index Ventures, based in London, where she focused on consumer technology investments with a focus on education, health, and art start-ups. Prior to joining Index, Kate worked as a journalist, writing for The Economist from Singapore, New York, and London. In 2009, she worked with former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, helping him write his memoirs. Kate holds a BA from the University of Michigan and a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
