About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Join us for an in person session where fundraising expert, Steve Sloan, will be delivering this workshop exploring why fundraising isn't an 'add on' to what you do and why a strategic approach is crucial.

If you are thinking your organisation needs regular fundraising (not just one off asks or applications) we will also be discussing what to consider to improve your success rate with trusts and foundations.

Steve Sloan joined us as a speaker at our Meet the Funders 2023 event, and his contribution received very positive feedback.

Steve recently retired as a Trustee of the Kirkcolm Community Trust. He led the fundraising approach of the Trust, which saw income grow of more than £300,000 with a further £200,000 in the pipeline, with both a mix of revenue and capital income secured.

Prior to retirement Steve was CEO of an international NGO based in Scotland and was responsible for its significant growth from start up. He was also CEO of a charity fundraising and marketing company operating in the UK , Europe and the USA.

His voluntary sector career includes work with young offenders, conservation and the overseas development sectors.
