About the Course

Is your community group ready to boost its fundraising success?

This four-part online training series is designed to help FCCAN members develop practical, real-world skills in grant fundraising.
Sessions 1–3 will be delivered by Jo Taylor Consulting (JTC).
Session 4 will be delivered by Kitty O’Connor, focusing on fundraising through the lens of Fife-based community action.

What You’ll Learn

Across the four sessions, you will build the skills and confidence needed to secure grant funding, including how to:

  • Understand the fundraising landscape and what funders really value
  • Tell a compelling story about your project and its impact
  • Build realistic activity plans and project budgets
  • Research and select funders that suit your work
  • Write stronger, more successful funding bids
  • Develop long-term, ethical and sustainable fundraising approaches
  • Apply fundraising strategies specifically relevant to Fife-based community groups

Between sessions, you can complete optional hands-on “homework” tasks to apply what you learn — from drafting impact stories to preparing budgets.

All participating organisations will also receive a 45-minute one-to-one mentoring session with Jo Taylor Consulting after the group sessions, to help refine your materials and answer organisation-specific questions.
